This 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 two-door fastback had already been turned into a race-style car with a Curtis Turner-style livery before it was acquired by the seller in 2021. The seller continued the build by installing a 427ci side-oiler V8, which is linked to a four-speed manual transmission. Supporting modifications added by the seller include a four-link rear end, a locking Ford 9″ axle, a GM Saginaw power steering pump, and Wilwood front brakes. The car comes with two sets of Aero steel wheels, and the driver is provided a Procar-style seat, a roll cage, a padded steering wheel, and a Hurst shifter. Ceramic-coated fabricated headers and MagnaFlow mufflers were also added, and the engine is topped by two four-barrel Holley carburetors. This Galaxie 500 race car is now offered in California with service records, spare parts, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
