Three people were injured in two separate traffic accidents on Thursday, police said in a statement on Friday. Police said that officers were informed of an accident at 4:15pm on Thursday in Triq id-Daħla ta’ San Tumas in Marsaskala, where a Peugeot 3008 crashed into a rubble wall. The car was being driven by a 40-year-old woman who had with her a 5-year-old girl as a passenger. Both of them live in Marsaskala and both were taken to Mater Dei Hospital. The girl was certified as suffering from grievous injuries, while the woman’s injuries were certified as serious. Meanwhile, another accident happened at 6:15pm in Triq Mountbatten in Hamrun. There, a 65-year-old woman from St Paul’s Bay was hit by a Toyota Vitz which was being driven by a 41-year-old man from Zabbar. She was taken to Mater Dei Hospital and certified as suffering from grievous injuries. Police said that investigations into both accidents are ongoing.
