Successful Resolution of 43 Cases at National Lok Adalat in Jorhat

The National Lok Adalat in Jorhat successfully resolved 43 pending cases, showcasing the effectiveness of alternative dispute resolution methods. Organized by the District Legal Services Authority, the event addressed various civil disputes, cheque bounce cases, and compensation claims. With participation from several banks and organizations, disputes totaling nearly Rs 69 lakh were settled. This initiative highlights the importance of public involvement in Lok Adalats, which offer quicker and more cost-effective solutions compared to traditional court proceedings. As the process continues, the number of resolved cases is expected to rise, further alleviating the burden on regular courts.
