Marsha Ann (Herrick) Signorelli passed away peacefully at her home in Duluth on May 13, 2026, after a heartbreaking struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Marsha was born in Duluth on December 4, 1950, to Fern Marguerite (Baker) Herrick and Dayton Herrick. She graduated from Duluth East in 1968. It was there she met her lifelong sweetheart, John Signorelli. They married in 1970 and were loving and loyal companions until her death. Marsha studied English at UMD and was everyone’s go-to editor. She loved reading and taught literary analysis for elementary students for years, fostering a love of reading for the next generation. She relished winning every word game anyone would play with her. With her incredible sense of style and ability to connect with people, Marsha was skilled in sales and retail. The height of her career was in Convention Sales for the Duluth Convention and Visitors Bureau. A proud lifelong Duluth resident, she conveyed the virtues of the city to those who didn’t yet know its special beauty. She served on the DECC Board of Directors and was a member of the Kiwanis and Rotary clubs. Marsha was also an accomplished tennis player and golfer. Marsha’s deep kindness to others will be her lasting legacy. This kindness extended to animals and was demonstrated by her care and love of the dogs, cats, birds, deer and chipmunks in her life. She nurtured her garden, growing a bounty of vegetables each year. Her homemade pesto was treasured by friends and family. Cooking was Marsha’s love language; she created extraordinary meals and inspired a love of food and cooking in her family.
