Sundargarh daily-wager’s daughter tops Odisha AHSE with 95.17 per cent

In a remarkable feat of academic excellence, the daughter of a local daily-wage in Rourkela worker emerged as one of the highest scorers across the entire Sundargarh district. The results of the Annual Higher Secondary Examination (AHSE), which were announced on Wednesday, revealed that the student, Archita Sahu, topped the arts stream at the Government Higher Secondary School, Rourkela. She secured an exceptional 571 out of 600 marks, registering a stellar 95.17 per cent, as reported by the Times Of India. Family Triumphs Against Financial Odds The student’s father, Hiradhar Sahu, who works as a daily-wage labourer in Panposh, walked with his head held high, filled with immense pride over the achievement. Though the family originally hails from Badgagua within the Bonai subdivision of Sundargarh district, they currently reside in Panposh with her homemaker mother. The exceptional performance has left the entire household on cloud nine. Future Academic And Career Aspirations Looking ahead, the young achiever has clear goals for her higher education and professional career. She aims to pursue her graduation in arts at the local Government Autonomous College.
