Operation Sindoor 2.0: Army Chief Says India Preparing for Future Wars India is preparing for the next phase of military readiness, with Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi indicating that the armed forces are already gearing up for what he described as ‘Operation Sindoor 2.0’. He said the Army, Navy and Air Force are strengthening their capabilities to deal with future threats and changing battlefield conditions. Speaking at an event, General Dwivedi stressed that modern warfare is evolving rapidly. He confirmed the armed forces cannot afford to remain focused only on current challenges and must constantly prepare for the next conflict. His remarks come as India continues to modernise its military and improve coordination among the three services. What General Dwivedi Said About Operation Sindoor 2.0 General Dwivedi said Operation Sindoor should not be seen as a completed mission. Instead, it is part of a continuing effort to keep the armed forces prepared for future challenges. He noted that the military is studying how warfare is changing and is adapting accordingly. The Army Chief pointed to the growing role of technology in combat. He mentioned , “The battlefield is so transparent that every movement is known to the other side, therefore we have to be very cautious in terms of our deployment, employment and the protection required to protect our troops as well as the civilians in the border areas.” His comments also come at a time when India faces a complex security environment. The armed forces have been working to improve readiness, strengthen border security and build greater coordination among the services.
