Vice Ganda reacts after netizens accuse him of hoarding 50 BTS concert tickets

The BTS ticket wars have claimed another victim: Vice Ganda. As thousands of Filipino ARMYs spent days battling online queues, crashing websites, and heartbreak after failing to secure seats for BTS’ upcoming Philippine concerts, an unexpected rumor started making the rounds online. The target? Vice Ganda. The comedian and television host found himself at the center of fan outrage after some netizens claimed he had somehow managed to buy 50 tickets to BTS’ highly anticipated “Arirang” world tour concerts in Bulacan next year. One frustrated fan even called him out on X, accusing him of unfairly securing dozens of tickets despite the ticketing platform’s purchase limit. “Mahiya ka naman Vice Ganda… ang hirap kumuha ng ticket ng BTS tapos ikaw 50 tix pa nakuha mo,” the netizen wrote, alleging that while ordinary fans struggled to buy tickets, the comedian supposedly had no trouble getting 50. Vice Ganda, however, was having none of it. The “It’s Showtime” host quickly fired back, blasting those who believed the rumor. “Mas mahiya ka at ang mga kapwa mong mga bobo na mapagpaniwala sa mga tsismis na pang tanga!” he wrote. He added that people were getting angry over stories that had no basis in reality. The comedian also responded to another netizen repeating the allegation, questioning where the supposed figure even came from. “San galing ang 50 tix? Aanhin ko yun?” he asked. “100 ba ang mata at tenga ko kung sakaling manunuod man ako?” Vice Ganda also pointed out that he does not even know his schedule for the concert dates yet. BTS is set to hold its “Arirang” world tour in the Philippines on March 13 and 14 next year at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan. Ticket selling ran from June 9 to 11 and quickly turned into an emotional roller-coaster for many fans. Thousands flocked online in hopes of seeing RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, only to be met with long queues and sold-out notices. With emotions running high, social media became flooded with complaints, memes, conspiracy theories, and finger-pointing as disappointed fans searched for someone to blame. This time, that someone happened to be Vice Ganda, who insists he never bought 50 tickets and has no idea how the rumor started in the first place.
