Woman returns P350,000 stolen by father

A 19-year-old woman returned P350,000 her father allegedly stole from a woman in La Trinidad, Benguet on June 8. Police said the woman discovered her father’s involvement after seeing social media reports about a snatching incident on Kilometer 5. She surrendered the money to the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station on June 9. The suspect was reportedly driven to commit the crime due to severe financial difficulties confronting his family. The victim thanked the woman for doing the right thing and noted that the woman upheld the very values her father instilled in her. “I am incredibly thankful for what they did. I hope they continue practicing the good values taught to them by their father. The daughter mentioned that they drew their strength from him because he always told them to do good and avoid doing wrong,” the victim said. The victim forgave the suspect and declined to file charges against him.
