SBU chemistry students offered direct pathway into Ohio University doctoral program

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. — Chemistry majors at St. Bonaventure University now have a fourth pathway into a doctoral chemistry program upon graduation from SBU. An articulation agreement between St. Bonaventure and Ohio University provides a direct application pathway for SBU students who graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry to Ohio University’s Ph.D. program in Chemistry and Biochemistry. Under the agreement, which takes effect July 1, SBU Chemistry graduates with a minimum GPA of 3.5 will be eligible to apply directly to the doctoral program. Ohio University, located in Athens, Ohio, will offer admission annually to a minimum of two qualified SBU students who meet the eligibility and application requirements. If more than two qualified students apply, selection will be made by the Graduate Recruitment Committee in Ohio University’s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
