Description Despite the weakening of Typhoon Maysak, its circulation, combined with prevailing weather conditions, has continued to bring heavy rainfall across northern Viet Nam, particularly affecting the mountainous provinces of Dien Bien, Lao Cai and Thai Nguyen. Continued rainfall has maintained the risk of flash floods, landslides and localised flooding, causing damage to housing, agriculture and critical infrastructure while disrupting transportation and local livelihoods. Authorities remain on high alert as additional rainfall is forecast over the coming days.
