Digital threat report 2025–26 released to strengthen India’s cyber resilience

The Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), S. Krishnan, on Monday launched the Digital Threat Report 2025–26 in New Delhi, underscoring the Government’s commitment to strengthening India’s cybersecurity ecosystem amid an increasingly complex digital threat landscape. The report provides a comprehensive assessment of emerging cyber threats, evolving attack patterns, and key cybersecurity trends. It aims to serve as a strategic resource for policymakers, government agencies, industry stakeholders, and cybersecurity professionals in enhancing preparedness against current and future digital risks. Addressing the gathering, minister S. Krishnan emphasised the importance of a collaborative approach to cybersecurity, calling for stronger cooperation among government, industry, academia, and technology experts. He stressed the need to build a secure, trusted, and resilient digital ecosystem capable of supporting India’s rapidly expanding digital economy. The release of the Digital Threat Report 2025–26 reflects the Government’s continued focus on improving cyber resilience, strengthening national cyber preparedness, and promoting best practices for safeguarding critical digital infrastructure and public digital services.
