Two people were killed and six injured, including three children, in a missile attack on Odesa on Thursday evening, the head of the city’s military administration, Serhiy Lysak, said on his Telegram channel. Civilian infrastructure was damaged, and fires broke out at the impact sites in a residential area. All relevant services are working to deal with the aftermath of the attack. Bulgarians in the Odesa region number more than 150,000 and were the third largest population group in Ukraine in 2001, according to the official census. About 50,000 – 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
