I’m a ‘Co-Host of The View’: Sunny Hostin Presses Cops in Son’s Trespassing Bust

MTA Body Camera Footage via New York Post On June 16, 2026, Gabriel Hostin, the son of ABC’s Sunny Hostin, put his Ivy League education to the test and decided to allegedly trespass in a Metro-North train yard in Westchester County, New York. In the body camera video, Sunny can reportedly be heard using her status as “one of the co-host of The View” and a “former federal prosecutor” to pressure the cops to not give her son a judicial summons.The body camera picks up with Metropolitan Transportation Authority officers running up to Gabriel in a New Rochelle train yard. The footage shows Gabriel calling attention to one of the officer’s badges and reading out his number.Gabriel was on the phone with his mother talking about her interview with Vice President J.D. Vance earlier that day, according to Sunny. Seemingly unaware she was on speakerphone, and possibly thinking he had either phone up to his ear or a wireless headphone, Sunny seemingly tells her son to lie to police and say, “Tell them your mother is a federal prosecutor.”As Sunny often likes to tout on The View, she’s actually a former federal prosecutor.
