County to pay employees’ legal fees in new Gutfahr litigation

After the Auditor General’s Office set its sights on current and former county employees in the latest of several embezzlement-related lawsuits, the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors authorized its lawyers to defend those employees — on the county’s dime.
