Union Minister Sonowal announces Central assistance, high-level team visit for flood-hit Assam

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal expressed deep concern over Assam’s severe flood situation. Over 742,000 people across eleven districts have been affected by the floods. The Central government assured Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of all necessary assistance. A high-level team will visit Assam to assess the extensive damage caused. The Union Cabinet decided to extend special financial assistance to the flood-affected state.
