Punjab school holiday tomorrow: Will schools reopen on October 16 after bandh? Check latest update

Schools across Punjab are expected to reopen on October 16, 2026, as no statewide order has extended the closures linked to the October 15 bandh. Some private schools in Ludhiana, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Moga and Mansa closed or shifted classes online, while most government schools remained open. The bandh was called over the killing of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota in Mansa. Parents should check school notices and district administration updates for local changes to schedules.
