Punjab assembly panel flags ‘irregularities’ in use of 15th Finance Commission grants, seeks probe

A Punjab Vidhan Sabha committee has uncovered widespread irregularities in the utilization of 15th Finance Commission grants by Panchayati Raj Institutions. The committee recommended a probe by a joint committee of four senior officers and a CAG-led inquiry to investigate the misuse of funds and delays in grant disbursal.
