‘Caught between a rock and a hard place’: Sheriffs sue state over Community Trust Act

ANNAPOLIS — A newly enacted state immigration law leaves law enforcement “caught between a rock and a hard place,” Queen Anne’s County Sheriff Gary Hofmann said, leading 17 sheriffs to bring forth a federal lawsuit on Wednesday.
