Former Southern Regional Jail officer pleads guilty in inmate rights conspiracy

WASHINGTON — A former Southern Regional Jail corrections officer has pleaded guilty to taking part in a conspiracy involving the use of unreasonable force against inmates, including pretrial detainees.
