Inkling: Mira Murati’s first AI model scores 97.1% on AIME 2026 benchmark

Mira Murati’s Thinking Machines Lab has introduced Inkling, its first general-purpose multimodal AI model. The open-weight model supports text, image and audio inputs, offers a 1 million token context window and competes with DeepSeek, Kimi and GLM models across several benchmarks.
