Laphroaig 12 YO Travel Retail Exclusive debuts in India duty-free

Suntory Global Spirits has launched Laphroaig 12-Year-Old Travel Retail Exclusive at select duty-free outlets in India, expanding the Islay single malt brand’s presence in the country’s travel retail channel. The new expression, rooted in more than two centuries of Laphroaig’s Islay whisky-making tradition, has been developed to appeal to both long-time fans of the brand and whisky-curious travellers. According to the company, the whisky delivers a balance of sweetness, salt, and signature peat smoke, with notes of stewed apple, heather honey, and seaweed. Laphroaig 12-Year-Old is matured in carefully selected American oak ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at 46 per cent ABV without chill filtration to preserve its natural character and aroma. Dr. Calum Fraser, Master Blender, Laphroaig, said, “Laphroaig 12-Year-Old is a significant milestone for us. This new whisky embodies the perfect balance between our signature peated intensity and the refined influence of time. We’re very excited to share it with whisky lovers as they travel.” The expression is now available at Delhi Duty Free, Ospree Duty Free Mumbai, and other selected duty-free locations across India.
