Macron attacks Trump’s Gaza peace claim at UN, calls situation a ‘spectacle of shame’

French President Emmanuel Macron criticised US President Donald Trump’s portrayal of his Gaza peace plan as a diplomatic success, saying humanitarian access had not been restored in the enclave. In his final UN address before leaving office, Macron also warned that violence and settlement activity in the West Bank were undermining prospects for Palestinian statehood.
