Montreal police issues nearly 800 tickets during World Cup celebrations

As of July 10, the SPVM had issued 788 tickets since the start of the World Cup. Infractions include unnecessary car honking, and car surfing — which can result in a license suspension, vehicle impoundment and fines of up to $3,000.
