HYDERABAD: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava conducted a detailed inspection of railway infrastructure and stations between Secunderabad and Shankarpalli on Thursday. The visit included a rear-window inspection of the section to review operational and safety aspects.
The general manager examined signalling systems, track conditions, sectional speeds and a minor bridge between Nagalapalli and Shankarpalli. He also inspected passenger amenities and reviewed the progress of redevelopment works at Shankarpalli railway station.
Passenger facilities reviewed at Nagalapalli
At Nagalapalli station, Srivastava inspected the foot overbridge, circulating area, station building, newly constructed ramp and a nearby level crossing gate. He reviewed infrastructure and passenger facilities as part of the inspection.
Hitech City station redevelopment under review
At Hitech City railway station, the general manager reviewed redevelopment works being carried out under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme at an estimated cost of ₹26 crore. He inspected the 12-metre-wide foot overbridge, platforms, circulating area, station master’s room, signalling systems and safety equipment.
Later, at Kacheguda railway station, Srivastava inspected passenger amenities on Platform 1 and the foot overbridge. He also reviewed the station premises at the second entry towards Golnaka and discussed station upgradation plans with railway officials.
