Rantoul to reimburse residents for accidental increase on property-tax bills

The village of Rantoul’s property-tax rate was incorrectly listed as about 70 cents higher than it actually is. For a home with a value of $150,000, this would result in a difference of about $350, estimated Village Administrator Scott Eisenhauer.
