Smoke, heat prompting ER visits in Michiana, doctor says

It’s not safe to be breathing in this smoke outside, and medical professionals in Michiana say they’re seeing the effects this week. Dr. Jack DeHaan, an emergency room doctor at Saint Joseph Health in Mishawaka, said it’s been a busy stretch as ER visits are on the rise.
