Tourists trapped for hours in Gulmarg cable cars rescued

Around 300 tourists stranded inside 65 suspended gondola cabins in Jammu and Kashmir’s Gulmarg were rescued after a massive multi-agency operation on May 25. Teams from the Army, SDRF, NDRF, police and local volunteers worked for hours in difficult weather conditions to bring all passengers to safety. The Gulmarg Gondola will remain closed on May 26 and 27 for maintenance as authorities investigate the technical fault that caused the disruption.
