UAE private tutor licence: How students, employees and homemakers can legally offer tuition

Dubai: Whether you are a young student looking to teach, a homemaker looking for part-time work or a full-time employee exploring ways to earn an extra income, you can offer private tuitions in the UAE by applying for the private tutor licence issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE). The free permit, introduced in 2023 under Ministerial Resolution No. 710 of 2023 in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, allows eligible UAE residents to legally provide private tuition. It is available not only to qualified teachers, but also to school and university students, unemployed residents, homemakers and employees working in the public or private sector. As long as you meet the eligibility criteria and hold valid UAE residence documents, you can apply online through MOHRE. If approved, the permit is valid for two years and can be renewed upon expiry.
