Wimbledon raises prize money to Rs 800 crore. Why players still aren’t satisfied

Wimbledon has increased its 2026 prize fund by a record £10.7 million to £64.2 million, with singles champions set to earn £3.6 million each. Yet despite the historic payout, leading ATP and WTA players continue to push for a larger share of tournament revenues, greater representation and long-term financial reforms across tennis’s Grand Slam ecosystem.
