Mindanao Avenue lane closed for Metro Manila Subway works

The Quezon City government announced that the southbound inner lane of Mindanao Avenue Extension will be closed from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. starting Friday, May 22, to facilitate water service connection works for the Metro Manila Subway Project. The Quezon City Traffic and Transport Management Department (QC-TTMD), in coordination with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and Maynilad Water Services, will implement the traffic management plan during scheduled installation works. The lane closure will be enforced on May 22 to 24 and May 29 to 31, 2026, or until project completion. The works cover excavation and reinstatement of a sidewalk section, installation of service pipes and water meters, and tapping of the mainline to provide temporary water supply for tunneling operations of the subway project. Motorists are advised to take alternate routes during the affected hours to help ease congestion in the construction area.
