VOLANT — The popular community gathering “Touch-A-Truck… And All Things That Go” is returning next month for its 11th consecutive year, bringing interactive fun and educational entertainment to local families. Hosted by Leesburg ECO Presbyterian Church, the event will take place rain or shine on the church grounds.
Designed to give children and adults a unique, hands-on look at the heavy machinery and emergency vehicles that serve the region, the gathering allows attendees to explore the vehicles up close, climb into the driver’s seat, and interact directly with the professionals who operate them daily.
Hands-On Fun and Local Heroes
Visitors to this year’s event can expect a diverse fleet of working vehicles on display throughout the site. Local emergency responders, construction crews, utility workers, and farmers will be present to demonstrate equipment features, explain safety protocols, and answer questions from curious minds.
Eventgoers will have the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of impressive vehicles, including:
- Fire engines, ambulances, and law enforcement vehicles
- Construction excavators, dump trucks, and paving equipment
- Agricultural tractors and large-scale farming machinery
- Utility bucket trucks and specialized commercial transport vehicles
A Tradition of Community Connection
Over the past decade, the event has established itself as a cornerstone tradition for families across the region. Beyond the vehicle displays, the church-hosted event provides a welcoming atmosphere for neighbors to gather, featuring family-friendly activities and refreshments.
Organizers remind attendees that the event proceeds regardless of weather conditions, so visitors are encouraged to dress appropriately for outdoor activity. Further details regarding exact event hours and parking guidance will be announced by Leesburg ECO Presbyterian Church in the coming weeks.
